If you are like me and had a bunch of presets downloaded when using Lightroom version 1.0 but then found them to be missing from the Develop Module after upgrading to Lightroom 1.1 I have the answer below.
I’m using Lightroom for Windows, so if this has happened to you on a Mac I can’t help. In Lightroom 1.0, all your different develop presets were stored in C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Adobe\Lightroom\Develop Presets\. Now in Lightroom 1.1 it seems that Adobe has chosen to move these to a new directory structure. On my machine its at C:\Documents and Settings\\My Documents\My Pictures\Lightroom\Lightroom Settings\Develop Presets\.
To get Lightroom to recognize the old presets just do a simple cut and paste on all the presets in the Lightroom 1.0 directory into the new Lightroom 1.1 directory. Restart Lightroom and all should be well!
Good luck!
PS - I got a bunch of my presets from here and here.
