SoftLayer is my host and is currently being slammed by a DDoS attack so the website is up and down because of it. There’s a thread over on WebHostingTalk about the attack and watch that for more info.

The information above is correct, earlier today SoftLayer’s website server farm did experience a 20+ Gbps DDOS attack. In an effort to preserve the integrity of our network, we voluntarily pulled our site offline until we could resolve the issue with our carries. Service was restored shortly thereafter and no customers were directly affected by this event. Thanks,Steven CanaleVice President, Sales & Marketing
