ShareAnother shot from Carmel River State Beach during Sharon and Paul’s visit. I’ve found that I really like shooting on angles lately. I have to force myself to shoot something straight on these days. Anyway, here’s an awesome sunset on an angle.

ShareSharon and her dad Paul were in town a few weeks ago and we made our customary trip down to the Monterey area and then caught the sunset at the Carmel River State Beach.

ShareI love black and white photography. Its very powerful, and emotional. With that said, I’m going to try to stick to just posting black and white photos for the month. Part of this is to learn more about black and white processing, and part is that I have to challenge myself to get better at this if I ever want to make it a full-time gig. With that said, here’s a photo from a recent walk around North Beach.
I’m putting Sunsets for Sarah on hiatus over here, Meg has a few shots from her trip that she has lined up to continue the tradition. Check DaveAndMeghann.com on Friday’s this month for the feature.

An oldie but a goodie. I think I actually took this shot back in high school, with a film camera no less! If I remember correctly, I took this from Horizon Island Road.

ShareAh, Aruba, the sunsets in Aruba were fantastic. Meg and I went there last August for our honeymoon. I was out shooting and this young lady happened to go out in front of me so I decided to include her in a couple shots. I think it worked well.
